Case overview : 2 years old Boxer dog presented to us after being previously diagnosed as gastroenteritis with nor recovery , presented intermittent vomiting
for the last 5 days and being lethargic and off food and constipation
extracted rope was measuring 1.25 meter
Defecation: No bowel movement in last 24 hours. Owner noted straining and discomfort.
Vomiting: Intermittent vomiting for the last 5 days
Abdominal Radiographs
Plication of intestines -Gas pattern suggests possible obstruction
long linear fb seen
Abdominal Ultrasound
Confirmed linear foreign body
laparotomy was indicated and submitted for surgery after stabilization
Foreign body was consistent of a long rope owner recognized later
Intraoperative atrophied lobe was excised with the larger cyst, the other cyst marsupialization was done
Partial lobectomy was done due to ischemic changes
